History
Phoenix Health Plan (PHP) is a managed care organization that has been providing health care services in Arizona since 1983. Phoenix Health Plan works with the Arizona Health Care Cost Containment System (AHCCCS) to give medical and dental services to Arizonans on Medicaid.
Prior to October 1, 2008 Phoenix Health Plan served Maricopa, Gila and Pinal counties. Since then, Phoenix Health Plan expanded services to include Apache, Coconino, Mohave, Navajo, Pima and Yavapai counties.
In 2006, we began offering our Medicare Advantage Prescription Drug Plan, Abrazo Advantage Health Plan (AAHP). AAHP is contracted with the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid to provide medical services to Arizonans who reside in Maricopa and Pinal counties. AAHP has two benefit plans serving Maricopa and Pinal county:
- Abrazo Advantage Plus (Medicaid and Medicare)
- Abrazo Advantage
