Children need to get immunizations (shots) at the right times. Always take each child's shot records with you when you visit your child's doctor. Many people think that children can only get their shots when they are well. This is not true. Children can get their shots when they have slight illnesses such as colds, ear infections or slight fevers. Many people also think that they do not need to get their shots until they are ready to go to school. This is also not true. Newborns and infants need to get their shots at the right time.
